1.
For
Teens
Hey, teen. I’m so glad you found your way here.
When we’re not feeling great, it can be especially hard to reach out for help. The fact that you’re reading this is awesome and I want to start by giving you major props. GREAT JOB.
So let's chat a little bit more about what you can expect in counseling.
2.
For College Students
Did you know that a lot of people seek counseling for the first time when they go away to college? Does that surprise you?
First, you’re not alone. Let me break down why it’s so common to seek counseling support after high school.
3.
For
Parents
When I say I love working with teens, I mean it. I had the opportunity to work with adolescents in many capacities before settling on the profession of family counseling. As much as I loved mentoring teens, I saw time and time again that my temporary involvement in their life paled in comparison to the power of reconnecting the teen with his or her family.
4.
Entertainment Industry
So what does counseling for entertainment industry professionals look like? It is traditional "talk therapy," but with a psychoeducational emphasis that equips actors, screenwriters, producers, musicians, and other professionals with the tools and coping skills needed to thrive in the pursuit of entertainment industry careers.

As a licensed clinical supervisor, I provide supervision and consultation for clinicians in training.
I have also supervised a team of Associate Marriage and Family Therapists in my private practice.
Approach & Philosophy for Teen Counseling
I am passionate about serving as a translator between the worlds of teens and parents, so that the parents can hear the language behind their son’s or daughter’s behavior and respond to their teen’s needs, instead of their aggression. The parent can hear “I need you” instead of feeling defeated when it looks like the teen is pushing a parent away. The teen may resist learning the language of adults, but as adults we can become bilingual, journey to their land, and interpret what they are trying to tell us so that families can move toward one another in communication, love, and trust.
In a social media environment, there may be a tendency to overpathologize. I take a strengths-based approach in which we emphasize a teen's positive identity, strengths and gifts, and a sense of capability via effective coping strategies.
After all, whether teens say it or not, they really, really need you.

I'm so glad you found your way here.
I meet with people of all ages and walks of life who desire a safe holding space to talk about it all. Whether a teen, young adult, parent, entertainment industry professional, or therapist, we are in desperate need of unconditional support in a world that too often feels conditional.
I would welcome the opportunity to be a resource in providing counseling services for you and your family.
